who am i ?
I am an Irish writer, born in Dublin in 1971.
I studied at Trinity College Dublin and the University of East Anglia, Norwich.
I've published 6 novels, a short novella for charity, some short stories, some even shorter stories, book reviews, articles and some interviews with other writers. I've been interviewed about my books many times.
I've won some awards... 2 Irish Book Awards, the Bisto Book of the Year Award.
I've been shortlisted for some others... the British Book Award, the Hennessy Award
One of my books, the boy in the striped pyjamas, has been made into a film. It has spent 66 weeks at no.1 in Ireland and has been a no.1 bestseller in many countries; worldwide, it's now sold more than 2.5 million copies worldwide.
